02. DOES WHAT NOW?

Omid began his creative career by winning the YoungGuns International Creative Brief while working as an assistant at a Mutual Funds company. He then landed his very first full-time job at droga5, Sydney where his very first campaign won him his very first Cannes Lions.

Since then, he’s created some of the most memorable and impactful campaigns of the last few years, with ‘Share a Coke’ making several best of the decade lists. Over the course of a decade, he has won 50+ major international awards, including Gold Cannes Lions, D&AD Pencils, and at film festivals. He also got into McSweeney’s, which is as good a feeling a writer will ever feel.

Awards aside, Omid is committed to solving business problems by challenging audiences and the preconceived notions created by the industry’s plethora of white noise. After all, if you are trying to be relatable, why would you deserve a voice? You’re not saying anything differently.

Even though he says ‘Ball is Life’ a little too often for anyone’s liking, including his own.
